Our new Executive Director, Michelle Gomez, begins work on October 24th.

Michelle is a Tallahassee native who has established community-based, social impact programs in California and Florida. She holds a BA from the University of North Florida, an MFA from Mills College, and a management certificate from the University of Vermont.

Most recently, Michelle guided the development of Tallahassee’s first food business incubator, supporting healthy food access for low-income families and economic entry for minority-owned enterprises. Michelle’s love of people fuels her passion for creating positive change. She is honored to employ this commitment to connection and innovation on behalf of women and girls as The Oasis Center’s new Executive Director.

“Women play an integral role in shifting the paradigm toward connectivity and health. I want to support that shift. I want to support the women and young girls in this community in becoming the leaders, dreamers, and doers they are destined to be,” said Gomez in commenting on her appointment.

Congratulations, Michelle!
