Girls Can Do Anything Camps
Girls Can Do Anything Camp is designed to help girls 5-13 learn their strengths and build friendships while gaining leadership skills. We meet extraordinary women in history and in our community, then we grow big visions of who we are and what we can do through creative activities and exciting field trips.
Girls For Change
Girls For Change is a 10-13 week program, developed by The Oasis Center, to educate girls about social justice issues. Girls For Change brings together a diverse group of girls to facilitate connections, foster a commitment to social justice issues, and develop activism related skills to affect social change. Throughout the program, girls will learn how systems of oppression affect them, their peers, and people in their community. Together, girls will learn about topics and issues that are not typically discussed in a school setting, and they will learn the skills necessary to positively change the future.
Girls Circles
Oasis facilitates outreach to girls throughout the community using the Girls Circle curriculum model, a research-based, nationally utilized, structured support group for girls. The model integrates relational theory, resiliency practices, and skills training in a specific format designed to increase positive connection, personal and collective strengths, and competence in girls. Girls Circle aims to counteract social and interpersonal forces that impede girls’ growth and development by promoting an emotionally safe setting and structure within which girls can develop caring relationships and use authentic voices.
